Countertop Protection
We use a 3 mil self- adhesive Multi-Surface Mask to cover granite, quartz, tile, cultured stone and corian counter tops. As an added layer of protection we also cover the mask with our corrugated cardboard.
This material helps prevent scratching and spill stains when trades use your finished counters
as a workbench.
Cabinet Protection
We protect cabinet faces, desks and linen tops with a corrugated cardboard and 3m blue masking tape. We also cut out doors and electrical outlets to allow for plumbing and electrical installation without removal of our material. This helps prevent tool belt damage and covers tops where most trades lay tools and materials that can damage the surface.
Threshold Protection
Thresholds are cleaned and covered with a 3 mil vinyl tape. This material holds up extremely well to heavy foot traffic, mud and concrete. During rainy season or when slabs are being poured, threshold protection is the perfect application.
Door & Slider Protection
When front doors are set before lath they can be protected from dings and scratches. Sliders, pocket doors and bi-fold doors are protected with 3m tape on the frames and Window Mask on the glass before scratch coating is applied.
Fireplace Box Protection
After your metal fireplace boxes are installed, and gas tested we cover the face and tape around the edges. This keeps drywall mud and texture out of the interiors and helps protect the frames from scratching. Cardboard or Floor Mask (for waterproof) is used to cover.
Mantel & Hearth Protection
Mantels and hearths are swept, and a layer of corrugated cardboard is taped in place. Hearth protection (sandstone, tile and stone) helps protect from drywall mud, texture and paint as well as tools and equipment damage.
Wood & Tile Floor Protection
Whether the floor needs to be completely covered (wall to wall) or pathway runners we typically use a 1/8” thick 30” wide corrugated cardboard roll that is taped in place with 3m 2090 painters' tape to keep the cardboard from slipping. Floor Liner is used on wood stair treads and can be rolled down each riser. The light tack keeps the Floor Liner in place.
Carpet Protection
We protect carpet with Carpet Mask. The Carpet Mask is a 2-mil self-adhesive film that will stay in place and is resistant to punctures and tearing. Carpet Mask is perfect for model homes, tenant improvements, move-in, estate sales and more.
Remodel Protection
Or what we like to call R&R. Remove and replace. This can include all the services listed above in addition to tent areas for work, blocking off doorways, covering light fixtures and furniture. When anything needs replacing in an existing home, remodel protection will help with dust control as well as protect from incidental damage.
Handrail Protection
Finished handrails and outside posts are covered with a 1-foot-wide bubble pack. This prevents damage from trades that need to run wires and hoses up to the second floors. Our covering can also remain in place for carpet installation.
Shower Pan Protection
Tile, stone or fiberglass shower pans are protected with our Multi-Surface Cover. This is the same water resistant, self-adhesive material that is used for counters. Shower pans are swept clean, and a layer of Floor Mask is applied. This helps keep grout clean and surfaces from scratching.
Tub Protection
After tubs are water tested and drained we apply a layer of cardboard to the bottom of the tub and line the sides and floor with a 2’ large bubble pack taped in place. Tub protection prevents scratching from drywall mud, screws, nails and damage from tile installation.
